Next Project.

Some time ago I was with my colleague Pilar in London in a wonderful breakfast that we had in Kensington. Pilar is a great partner, with whom we have worked before in (The Doodles and Helen's Story). This time, Pilar asked me to illustrate a play by Federico Garcia Lorca. Apparently there is some Lorca translated into English, and Pilar is on this crusade to make known to one of the Spanish authors that has inspired our language. Lorca is known for his masterpieces like Blood Wedding, which have done a couple of movies. (For me, the best is Carlos Saura, away).
But Lorca was also an emblematic figure. Killed by the fascism during the Spanish Civil War, has embodied the courage, the courage to say what we feel and think as our truth. Much more about Lorca in Pilar's blog: http://ilovegarcialorca.blogspot.be/
This time, we've gotten an early work of Lorca  call "The Curse of the butterfly". A fully  work characterised by insects. The analogy goes beyond the obvious and here I started with some sketches of the characters. By September, if time allows me I will be posting more.
It's strange to draw cockroaches that are "nice" isn't it?
